"EL HIJO DEL SOL"

Series Documentary

Originally from the UK, Jimmy McSparron a  specialist in jungle survival instructor and mountaineering will share the reason why after 700+ days spent on expeditions, he settled in the Peruvian Andes.

Jimmy's adventurous spirit overflows into all aspects of his life, kayaking solo down the Amazon River and the Manu National Park, ice climbing in the Andes, living in some of the most remote jungles on the planet, meeting head-hunters and cannibals, then documenting their languages and cultures along the way.

But this adventure has some misfortunes that he has to face; illegal mines exploration, the indigenous slavery, young girls forced into prostitution, discrimination on different levels in the Peruvian society from the city to the rural areas and the unexplored territories.

In every episode, Jimmy has to overcome the issues and problems from his multicultural world; trying to serve his adopted community where he participates as honorary member of several indigenous groups,  working with the Peruvian Special Forces and The Firefighters Corp. Jimmy is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, The Royal Anthropological Institute and has worked with media outlets such as National Geographic and the BBC.
